Gracie turns 6 months on Friday and that was my (lofty) breastfeeding goal. I made it!!! And I’
ve actually grown to enjoy it, but I hate pumping. HATE it. Right now I’m pumping twice a day at work and while it’s a nice break from my desk, I feel like such a slacker employee. I know, I know, smokers get their breaks, too, so I
shouldn’t feel guilty, but I do. Besides, it’s just a pain. So, on Friday I’ll go down to pumping only once a day at work and supplementing Gracie with formula at daycare. For now, I still plan on
bfing her in the morning and at night until I’m ready to quit (or the milk runs out). The nighttime feeding is just too easy to quit right now. So much easier than getting up to fix a bottle. I’m hoping that since formula is harder to digest (i.e. sticks with her longer), she’ll finally start sleeping through the night. She still gets up once a night to eat. As soon as that happens I’ll be moving her upstairs to her crib!
